Whispering Pines by JudyDee ©
Our next stop was to get some fresh
vegetables. Boy there's nothing like
home grown tomatos I thought.
And the smell of fresh apples I could
almost taste Mrs Lene's apple pie. Oh
and her baked apples was just making my
mouth water. By now it was about noon
so Mr Lene said we will grab a bit to eat
in town.
Of course upon hearing that, I thought
he meant the Pines. But I was wrong
again. Instead we went to a place
called Walnut Pine.
It was a very small place.
So we hit the soda shop for lunch.
Good old home cooking the owners served.
What you would call family style. What
a great meal we had. After we finished
lunch, we then walk back to the general
store for more supplies. Right next door
was the place I just had to visit. Well
I do have this sweet tooth so off I went.
After stuffing myself on homemade
chocolate I waddled out of the store to
find the Lene's waiting for me. Well it
was time to return home but it was a fun day.
I had seen so much in the months I spent
in the Pines. But the time had arrived
for me to go. My car had been fixed and
my boss couldn't spare me any longer. In
this dream place I had learned so much
and shared the greatiest love of all.
It was a very tearful goodbye to all the
friends I had made.
I hope you enjoyed my story. And if you
should ever happen to come across
Whisperng Pines. Please do me a favor
and tell my friends ««CD»» says HI.
